This is a very quite cove, the lake has access to a beach for fishing, bikes, shell hunting, bird watching, and also just a stroll on the beach. The lake has great fishing, boating, jet skiing, the cove we are in is better for small boats and fishing. There is plenty of lake for the rest of water activity just outside the cove. The house is not right on the lake because this is a core of engineers lake and Texas does not allow houses right on the water. The lake house is 1600 square feet, built in the late 60's. The kitchen, bedroom, entry way and quest bathroom has just been remodeled. SEE NEW PICTURE The master bedroom is good size and has a queen bed with a fireplace, access to the master bathroom, with shower and tub, also has access to the main sunroom. The second bedroom is also very nice, wood floor with a full size antique bed the main bathroom has access to the rest of the house. The big sunroom has a flat screen TV and full size electric fireplace. The large room has plenty of room for just about anything. At one end is a trundle bed which can be made into two twin beds, Queeen futone, leather couch, full size. There is lots of room. There is a see through bar from the entry to the sunroom, this is a 1 acre property, the back part is not accessible because of the horse, but the house and the rest of the lot has plenty of yard that over looks the lake. There is a large gazebo for eating, watching the water and also watching the sun come up over the lake.There is a deck on the east side of the house that faces the water. There is a gas grill and charcoal grill. There are over 50 mesquite trees on the property. Very peaceful and quiet, a great get away still close to everything. You are only a few miles from great antiquing, junking, sight seeing, water park in the summer. Our place is a large metal barn with 1200 square feet of living quarters and private lake access. The fully stocked modern kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal, whether it’s gourmet or gour-met. We also have a charcoal barbecue grill with all the required accessories. The main floor living area has lofted ceilings and a stunning view of the lake. There is a dining area that seats 5-6 with additional seating at the kitchen island, as well as a picnic table for outdoor dining by the lake. Inside the table bench is a collection of board games and puzzles to play. The Master bedroom has a queen bed, large smart tv, closet space - not to mention an oil diffuser for whatever mood your in. The adjoining bath has a spa shower with a light up rain-head and jet sprays (it’s pretty fancy), and lots of extra toiletries in case you forgot something. The upstairs bedroom has a single loft bed, a trundle bed that can be 2 twins or a king, and also a large smart tv with a collection of DVDs that we’ve held on to for some reason. The upstairs loft area has a sleeper sofa, foosball table, a record player, and some amazingly good vibes. There is a stackable washer and dryer to keep the laundry at bay. When you step out the sliding glass door in the living room there is patio seating to catch the sunrise with a cup of your favorite morning beverage. Or you can sleep in and have a favorite afternoon beverage. Step down from the patio and head towards the lake and you’ll find the fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows and making memories. Just beyond that is our private lake access. Bring your fishing poles and some catfish bait, and your almost guaranteed to hook one. The border of our cove is protected by the Army Corps of Engineers, and hosts a wide variety of wildlife. We have seen Bald Eagles, Egrets, and maybe a few friendly Goldendoodles and Labradors. Cabin includes a refrigerator, cooktop, microwave and toaster along with all the cooking utensils and plate ware/flatware/glass ware one would need to enjoy a get away at the lake! Also provided is a propane grill for steak night!! You can sit on the front porch and enjoy the view for sunrise/sunset or sit under our private grove overlooking the lake in the breeze with your glass of wine! Although very quiet and secluded, you will only be a short few minutes from all the modern conveniences and just a short drive to major thoroughfares if you need to get to just about anywhere in the metroplex. Whether its just taking in the view, fishing off the shoreline, having your boat anchored here, or just enjoying the day swimming in the lake with family and friends, you won't want to leave!!
